Can you get into US and European universities with a Polish matura?+
Yes. Universities in the US and Europe accept the Polish matura, the IB and other diplomas, and it doesn't matter whether you attend a liceum, a technical school or a school abroad. What counts is the whole profile: grades, tests (like the SAT, IELTS or Duolingo English Test), essays and extracurriculars. Unikat's founder applied from a Polish high school and received offers in the US, Canada and Europe.
Can I afford it?+
Often yes, though not everywhere. Many universities offer scholarships and aid that can bring the cost below studying away from home in Poland. That's why our first step is always the real net cost, before we even pick universities.
Is studying abroad only for straight-A students?+
No. It's not just olympiad winners: very often it's average students who choose their universities well and start early enough. School type doesn't matter either: we work with students from all kinds of schools. Strategy counts more than GPA alone: a well-chosen list, thoughtful essays and deadlines under control make the bigger difference.
When should I start?+
Ideally 12 to 18 months before the application deadline. The next US deadlines: Early Decision on 1 November 2026, Regular Decision in early January 2027. Later can still work: write to us and we'll assess it together.
